Upon enrollment at Al-Istiqlal University, students embark on a distinctive lifestyle characterized by dedication, activity, and discipline. These principles guide their conduct across all activities and locations within the University. The disciplined environment is reinforced by a military-style structure, ensuring a well-organized hierarchy and consistent adherence to regulations.

Under the closed residential system, where students live on campus and participate in academic and extracurricular commitments, each student’s day is highly structured. The day begins before sunrise with a physical fitness session, followed by breakfast. Students then prepare for the inspection parade and flag-raising ceremony before the first lecture at 8:00 a.m. Lectures continue until lunchtime, after which students have a brief rest period before the evening training program, running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., including dinner. Following the training program, students proceed to designated study halls to review academic materials. Dormitory lights are turned off at 11:00 p.m.
