Al-Istiqlal University has signed a memorandum of understanding with Qamat Foundation for documenting the Palestinian struggle.
The memorandum was signed by the President of the University, Dr. Abdel Nasser Qaddoumi and the Director of the Foundation Mr. Anas Al-U’sta, in the presence of Prof. Ghassan Al-Helou, theVice President for Academic Affairs and his assistant Dr. Essam Al-Atrash, as well as the Media staff.
Al-Qaddoumi welcomed the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Qamat Foundation and he stressed that Al-Istiqlal University has been keen since its establishment to preserve the Palestinian people's inherited struggle, as well as to make its young students aware of the route of the Palestinian militants who are the first initiators of the Palestinian struggle project.
For his part, Al-U’sta praised the national and academic mission of Al-Istiqlal University stressing that it comes in line with the vision of Qamat Foundation creating a conscious generation about the struggles of militants, and fixing Palestinian history at various stages.
It is noteworthy that Qamat Foundation is one of the civil society organizations to document the history of the Palestinian struggle through the production of films documenting individual experiences from different regions and this is one of Al-Istiqlal University’s interests in order to preserve the Palestinian cultural heritage.
