Graduating the Students of the Foundation Training Course for the Bachelor and Vocational Diploma Programs

A graduation ceremony for the students of Al-Istiqlal University for the academic year 2017/2018 was held on Tuesday morning at the headquarters of the Military Training Commission in Jericho. The ceremony was carried out in the presence of the President of Al-Istiqlal University, the Head of the Military Training Commission, and his Deputy Col. Khaled Muqbel, the Vice-Presidents of Al-Istiqlal University, Trainers, Students and their Families.

The ceremony, which included 295 undergraduate students and 120 students of vocational diploma, began with 45-minute military shows, which included karate, race, VIP protection, as well as a silent march and incursions.

In his welcome speech, Dr. AbdelNasser Qadoumi delivered the greetings of the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University, Maj. Gen. Tawfiq Al Tirawi to the attendants and all those who participated in this closed training since the first moments of the students’ acceptance until this moment after 45 days of continuous training for qualifying them with the military life. He thanked Youssef Helow and his cadre of training and valued their efforts in training these elite of the homeland.

He asked the students to work seriously and respect the laws and regulations.  He also congratulated their graduation and transfer from the civilian life to military life to be an example for the committed and disciplined officers to complete the route of the Palestinian people in achieving the dream and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

For his part, the Head of the Military Training Commission, Major General Yousef Al-Helow, congratulated the students their graduation which coincides with the celebration of the Palestinian people on the launch of the Palestinian revolution, stressing the vision of the military training in training all members of the security services as an integral part of the security establishment. As well as contributing to building the security institution that follows the laws and regulations.

Al-Helow called on the graduate students to benefit from the training which they received during the three-month closed training of commitment, discipline and implementation of instructions, and regulations in their military, academic and professional life as well.

For his part, the governor of Jericho and the Jordan Valley, Majid Fetiani, confirmed the right of the Palestinian people to exist and live on their land with dignity and freedom, and that Jerusalem (Al-Quds), which represents the identity and the faith of the Palestinian people, is the eternal capital of Palestine.

The Deputy Director of the Training Commission, Col. Khalid Muqbel, congratulated the students on their graduation from the closed foundation training in which students received a series of training programs based on patience and endurance. This training forms the first building stone of their military lives.

The ceremony ended with the students' recitation of the military oath to be loyal to the homeland and the people, to defend them, to maintain the laws and regulations and to carry out their national and professional duties with honor, honesty and loyalty.
