The Romanian Ambassador Visits the University Emphasizing Joint Cooperation

Al-Istiqlal University welcomed the Romanian Ambassador to Palestine after an official visit invitation to the University. The means of cooperation with the University and its support were discussed during the meeting.

Dr. Abdul Nasser Qadoumi welcomed the Ambassador and presented him an overview on Al-Istiqlal University and its academic and administrative development as well as its construction structure. He stressedon thetransition of the University from the horizontal expansion of work to vertical expansion which deals with graduate studies like Joint Public Administrative and Psychology programs.

Al-Qadoumi hoped that the Romanian Ambassador will achieve the necessary cooperation between his country and the University due to the Romanian distinction in the security aspect, whether through courses or scholarships, which in turn reflects on the academic development at the University.

For his part, the Romanian Ambassador expressed his happiness to visit IU and thanked the President of the University for his talk about the achievements of the University, considering his visit as a quality and important, and will remain in his memory for a long time. He praised the University’s role in building the country, andhe also demanded a permanent communication to achieve the required cooperation.

He added that the cooperation between Romania and Palestine must be based on needs, and that the possibility of having officers and students from Al-Istiqlal University, whether to complete their higher studies or to receive training courses, is easy to guarantee by his country.

Following the meeting, the Ambassador and his delegation were accompaniedin a tour to the University's faculties and facilities to learn more about the progress of the university buildings.
