HE Mag. Gen. Tawfiq Al-Tirawi, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Istiqlal University, welcomed the Minister of Communications and Information Technology Dr. Alaam Mousa and Minister of Social Development Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shaer in the presence of the President of the University, his deputies and the organizers of “ Internet Security and Safety” Initiative inside his office in Jericho City, on Monday 4th of February 2019.
Mag. Gen. Al-Tirawi talked about Al-Istiqlal University and its development in the recent years at all levels, especially the membership in the “Union of Arab and International Universities”, praising the current government, headed by Dr. Rami Hamdallah, for its efforts in supporting the University and meeting its needs through the relevant Ministries.
For their part, the two ministers stressed their high appreciation for the University and its efforts in providing the security establishment with qualified students to work immediately after graduation. Also, they expressed their willingness to cooperate and give all necessary support for the service of the University and the Homeland.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Tirawi took the two Ministers in a field tour to the faculties and facilities of the University, to have closer look at the developments that happened in the recent years inside the campus.
Finally, this meeting was held on the sidelines of a press conference hosted by Al-Istiqlal University ,on Monday 4th of February 2019, to announce the launching date of the “ Internet Security and Safety marathon” Initiative which will be on Friday, 15th of February 2019, in Jericho.
