The President of the University discusses joint cooperation with the Director of the British Council

Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osbaa, the President of Al Istiqlal University, welcomed Mr. Martin Daltari, the Director of the British Council in Palestine, and the delegation accompanying him in the presence of the Vice Presidents for Administrative and Academic Affairs and the Maj. Gen. Mohamed Haron, the Director of International Relations, on Wednesday 6th of February 2019.

Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osbaa praised the achievements of the British Council in Palestine and its joint and permanent cooperation with Al-Istiqlal University, also he suggested to develop the English Language programs inside the University to target the students from different disciplines especially on the level of the future plan which includes the colleges of Information Technology and communication.

In his turn, Mr. Martin Daltari expressed his readiness to develop English language skills for the students of Al-Istiqlal University to create a new generation of leaders each in his position, noting that Al-Istiqlal University is implementing a joint English language program and awaiting its good results in the near future, referring to the scholarships provided by the British Council and the door is open for Al-Istiqlal University.

Furthermore, Dr. Nezam Abbasi, the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, met the delegation of the British Council and discussed the mechanisms for developing the joint program, in English language, by organizing exchanging visits, besides promoting the skills of students enrolled in the program, in addition to the academic cooperation in the field of scientific research.

At the end of the visit, the Department of International Relations took the British Council delegation in a field tour on the faculties and facilities of the University, where they expressed their admiration and joy in the serious and useful meetings for the joint work.
