Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osbaa held a series of discussion meetings with the deans of the colleges and the academic staff in order to follow the progress of the University's development plan in the academic field and scientific research and its positive role toward serving the University and its students.
Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Abu Osbaa met with the deans and cadres of the faculties of law, humanities and administrative sciences, during the current week, in the presence of the Vice Presidents for Academic, Administrative and Military Affairs and the Dean of Scientific Research discussing with them the progress of the academic plan since the beginning of the second semester, in addition to the development of the education methods and the relationship with the students during classroom lectures and activities.
For his part, Prof. Dr. Moaweya Ibrahim stressed the need for the coordination between the academic and military parties, thanking the presidency of the University in supporting the academic plan to meet the need of academic staff, especially in terms of reducing the working hours for the academic staff to be free for the scientific research
In the context, Dr. Hamdan Taha, the Dean of Scientific Research, mentioned the importance of providing the required climate for scientific research through the participation in the various conferences and seminars, in addition to providing an adequate funding to carry out the scientific research, expected from the teaching staff, for conveying the advanced knowledge to the students of Al-Istiqlal University in particular and to the Palestinian society in general.
On the level of the administrative work, Dr. Raja Suwaidan, the Vice President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, clarified all the details which related to the administrative follow-up and the facilitation of working hours at a minimum of (5) hours per day for the academic staff. Also, she noted the law applicable at Al-Istiqlal University on the administrative level and the mechanism of its implementation
During the meetings, the President of the University and his deputies listened to a number of issues which focused on the processes of the academic teaching, scientific research and the participation in the internal and external conferences for attaining the development of Al-Istiqlal University.
