The Community Service Center provides a lecture in the national education at Hisham Bin Abdul Malik School

In a cooperation with the Directorate of Education in Jericho Governorate, the Center for Community Service and Continuing Education, in partnership with the Department of Strategic Planning at Al-Istiqlal University held a scientific lecture for students of higher grades at the Hisham Bin Abdul Malik School in Jericho, on Sunday 10th of March 2019.

Mr. Shaaban Ayat, the Director of the Community Service and Continuing Education Center, welcomed the attendees, thanking the school and its administration for creating the appropriate atmosphere for holding this lecture which entitled "Your city is your home .. Keep it alive."

The lecture was presented by Dr. Faisal Sabana, from the Department of Strategic Planning at Al-Istiqlal University, and Ms. Yasmin Adawi, from Community Service and Continuing Education Center, for the tenth grade students at the school.

Furthermore, Dr. Faisal Sabana explained to the students the importance of Jericho city, its geographical location and the historical places inside it which is considered as the oldest city in the world, pointing the strategy and ways to preserve this city and its heritage through protecting its public and private property, noting the existence of Al-Istiqlal University and what it offers to the scientific and cultural heritage.

For her part, Ms. Yasmine Adawi told the students about the ways to preserve the historical and archaeological sites and monuments, and provided the mechanism of development and effectiveness of Jericho city by spreading the positive spirit in the among the children and reflecting the positive impressions for the daily visitors.

Finally, the Community Service and Continuing Education Center is conducting a series of activities and lectures for the school students in Jericho and Valley governorate, in partnership with the Ministry of Education to contribute in raising the educational and national awareness for the students and to realize the social responsibility of the Center.
