Al-Istiqlal has achieved remarkable progress in all sporting activities, which was organized by the Palestinian Federation of University Sports during the 2018/2019 season. The Palestinian Federation of University Sports organized a ceremony honoring the winners in Birzeit University, in the presence of Mr. Raed Barakat, the representative of the Ministry of Higher Education, Mr. Ayman Al- Houdali, the Director of the Student Affairs Department, Dorgham Abdul Aziz, the Representative of the Olympic Committee, the President of the Palestinian Union for University Sports and its Directors, Dr. Salwa Ramadan, the Dean of the Students Affairs at Al-Istiqlal University and the supervisors of activities.
In his turn, Mr. Shaher Naji, the Director of the Students Activities at Al-Istiqlal University, said that the University has an effective participation in the different activities of the Palestinian University Sports Union, thanking the students for their hard efforts in representing the University in the different activities, praising the support of the Dean of the Students Affairs and the coaches at the University.
It is worth mentioning that 37 students of Al-Istiqlal University won in the various games such as Chess, Karate with different weights, all kinds of racing, handball and swimming.
