For the second year ... Al-Istiqlal University Implements the entrance exam for the joint master's program

The Faculty of Administrative Sciences in cooperation with the Deanship of Scientific Research and Graduate Studies, at the University, implemented the evaluation exam of the joint master's students with the Universities of Khadouri and Hebron, on Monday 2nd of September 2019.

The exam included determining the level of the general knowledge in the fields of administrative sciences and conducting a personal interview which focused on the personality traits, their knowledge, experience and the general culture, in addition to the English language levels and skills for identifying and declaring the admitted students.

Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osbaa, the President of Al-Istiqlal University, made an inspection tour with Prof. Dr. Hamdan Taha, his Academic deputy, for following up the progress of the exam and interviews. Prof. Dr. Abu Osbaa provided a set of advice to the students and the interview committees, wishing them success and to complete all the conditions eligible to pass these procedures.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Taha, the Academic deputy of the University, pointed to the criteria which is used in the selection of the students and the availability of the general knowledge for considerations related to the personality, experience, and previous achievement, to be used in the transparent competition between the applicants. Also, he recommended in his speech the importance of management in finding solutions of all the challenges facing the process of building institutions and the Palestinian state, besides raising the levels of the administrative work in the security and civil institutions.

For his part, Dr. Abdelatef Abu Ouda, the dean of the Administrative Sciences Faculty, checked the students who were participated in the evaluation process, stressing that the master's program has a great importance in strengthen the human cadres and developing their skills and capabilities in leading the crisis of the civil and the governmental institutions. Moreover, Dr. Abu Ouda sent a message to the students: “You should persevere and work hardly to learn the proper methodology for being decision-makers and qualified in the field of management which is based on unique skills for our mission”.

It is noteworthy to mention that Al- Istiqlal University, in partnership with the Universities of Khadouri and Hebron, holds for second year in a row, the joint master's program in Public Administration, which is highly accepted among the students for its ability in creating people qualified in the fields of decision-making and crisis management.
