Prof. Dr. Hamdan Taha, the Deputy for Academic Affairs of the University, opened a training course entitled "Leadership and Management Performance " for the second year students, in the presence of Maj. Gen. Mohammed Haroun, the Supervisor of the Leadership Training Program with the British support team, Ms. Taghreed Abu-Hamda, the supervisor of the Palestinian training team, and a number of British and military officers, at the Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan Theater, on Sunday 22th of September 2019.
Prof. Dr. Taha pointed out the importance of the course which is considered as clarification for the Leadership and Management concepts and dealing with its nature as science and art, besides the students will be able through this course to acquire some skills of the leader, critic, analyst, thinker and working within the team.
For his part, Maj. Gen. Haroun appreciated the International Staff who contributed to the development of this program and the people in charge of it, explaining that the course will be taken over four years, and this group of students is the first group that achieves the program at the University, clarifying that the students, in the fifth week, will receive theoretical and practical test.
Leadership and Management Performance Course, which will be implemented for four years, aims to identify the concepts of Leadership and Management and their importance in the students' scientific and practical lives, noting that the lecturers of the training today will be Capt. Khawla Fahed and Mr. Mohammed Al- Sedaa.
It is noteworthy that Al-Istiqlal University and the British Support Team work within a signed agreement, including a number of academic projects and specialized training courses in the academic and military fields.
