Al-Hara Theater - Beit Jala, in cooperation with Al-Istiqlal University, presented a play entitled "MARAMEYA" for Al-Istiqlal University students, at the Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Theater, on Monday 30th of September 2019.
The story of the play is taken from the “Living Memory” book, which embodies the lives of the refugees who dream of returning to their homes after the occupation in 1948, where they wait and lose hope again, but they continue to wait while the nostalgia is still boiling in their hearts, like the sage on the fireplace, and its smell carrying them home, recalling them personal stories and attitudes still firmly in their memories, delivering their innocent childhood to the attendance, which negatively plunged by NAKBA.
This play was produced in 2017 by Al- Harah Theater, in partnership with its artists, targeting the young youth aged 15 and above, and discussions were opened with the students about the events of the play.
It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Harah Theater - Beit Jala shows this play for the students of Palestinian Universities and Colleges.
