Al-Istiqlal University discusses cooperation with the Preventive Security Service

Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osbaa, the President of Al-Istiqlal University, accompanied by Col. Tayseer Abdallah, his deputy for Military Affairs, Dr. Salwa Ramadan, the Dean of Student Affairs at the University and Ms. Alaa Al-Shanti, the Director of Media and Public Relations Department, visited Maj. Gen. Ziad Hab-Alreh, the head of the Palestinian Preventive Security Service, on Tuesday 1st of October 2019, in Ramallah City.

Prof. Dr. Abu Osbaa stressed the importance of the relationship between the University and the Palestinian Security Services, especially that the students engage in the ranks of the Palestinian Security Services after their graduation, pointing out that the cooperation between the arms of the security institution and Al-Istiqlal University is essential for the development of the working staff, by providing Educated and specialized cadres in the fields of security, police and military, besides raising the efficiency of these cadres in terms of training and expertise, all of which will contribute to the realization of the public interest and the advancement in the Palestinian Security Institution.

For his part, Maj. Gen Hab-Alreh welcomed the President of the University and the delegation accompanied him, praising the importance of the University’s presidency proposals by working within the framework of the privacy of each security agency to develop the specializations, mentioning that the members of the Palestinian Security Institution have to be fully prepared and qualified at the security level, in order to practice their responsibility in protecting the citizens and the homeland.

In the context, Col. Abdallah said that Al-Istiqlal University continuously seeks to identify and study the needs of the Security Institution to provide it with the necessary specializations, through qualifying the students with the needed skills during their studies at the University, so that the student after graduation will be ready to engage in the work environment of the Security Institution.

It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Istiqlal University, represented by its president, carries out permanent visits to the security services, for enhancing the cooperation and lasting partnerships, to meet the needs of the Palestinian Security Institution.
