The Center for Community Service and Continuing Education at Al-Istiqlal University in cooperation with the Office of the Ministry of Culture in the city of Jericho, conducted a poetry seminar, in the presence of Dr. Hazar Al-Keswani, the Director of the Community Service Center, Ms. Mayson Salemeh, the Director of the Office of the Ministry of Culture, Dr. Khaled Al-Daher, the Assistant of the Academic Deputy, the Poet Omran Al Yassini, the Poet Ibrahim Nujoom and the Poet Yasser Alwahidi, at the Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan Theater, on Monday 11th of November 2019.
The poetry seminar was held to commemorate the fifteenth anniversary of the Martyrdom of Yasser Arafat, and to promote the concept of East Jerusalem as capital of the Islamic culture, where several poems were presented by talented poets and students.
It is worth mentioning that Al-Istiqlal University always strives to develop the various talents of the students in a partnership with all Ministries, as well as the revival of national occasions to strengthen and promote the existence of the Palestinian people and resist the occupation.
