Al-Istiqlal University participates in the activities of the International Day of the Disabled People

The Community Service and Continuing Education Center at Al-Istiqlal University, in partnership with the Disability and Rehabilitation Council, participated in the activities of the International Day of Disabled people, in the presence of Mr. Jihad Abu-Asal, the Governor of Jericho, the Australian Ambassador in Palestine, and Mr. Ali Ala, the President of the Disabled Federation in the Governorate, Ms. Samah Naber, the Director of the Young Men Christian Association, a Representatives of the security institutions, the Ministry of Social Development, and members of the council from the various departments, institutions and associations concerned with the disabled people, at the headquarters of the YMCA, on Tuesday 3rd of December 2019.

Furthermore, the Community Service and Continuing Education Center had participated in the preparatory committee to revive the activities of the International Day of the Disabled People, and had provided lunches for the children, within the activities presented by the Red Crescent Society, and the Community Service Center in Jericho Governorate

It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Istiqlal University participates in the various activities of the people with disabilities and special needs, and provides the psychological and social support session, as it urges on the International Day of Disabled People to promote the rights of the people with disabilities in all social and developmental fields and seeking to raise the awareness of the situation of the people with disabilities in the political, social, economic and cultural aspects.
