Kamal Boutros Nasser College of Humanities at Al-Istiqlal University participated in research papers in the first and second sessions of the Educational Guidance Forum on School Violence entitled “School Violence Causes and Solutions” which was organized by the Palestinian Ministry of Education in partnership with Al-Istiqlal University, in the presence of Dr. Suhail Abu Shosha, the Dean of the College of Humanities, Dr. Amer Shihada, the Head of the Department of Psychology and several faculty members.
In conjunction, Dr. Enas Mousa and Dr. Mohammed Dabos provided a research paper entitled “School violence, its causes, and effects on the student and the school”, besides Dr. Anwar Abu Hanod discussed a research paper entitled “The mechanism of the therapeutic psychological intervention for the behavior of school violence” and as Dr. Yasmin Adawi presented a research paper entitled “Bullying”.
It is noteworthy to mention that the forum aims to concentrate on the phenomenon of violence, trying to come up with proper mechanisms to reduce it and focusing on the preventive aspects, which will enhance the positive behavior of students and improve their academic achievement.
