The Military Consultative Council, which consists of training managers and representatives of the Palestinian security services, held its regular meeting in the presence of Col. Salman Tayser Abdallah, the Deputy for Military Affairs at Al-Istiqlal University, inside the campus, on Tuesday 14th of January 2020.
Col. Abdallah welcomed the managers and the representatives of the Palestinian security services, providing several recommendations that were discussed and adopted, stressing the need to add the practical side in the curriculum and materials within the academic process at the University in addition to the scientific study part. Also, he discussed the importance of providing First Aid program at all levels for the students over the four years of study within the military trainings in the field.
Furthermore, he praised the efforts of the National Security Service and the Directorate of Civil Defense in training the fourth year students through a course entitled "Military skills and Exercises", which positively affected the students with high-level results.
It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Istiqlal University holds periodic meetings that include the directors of the Palestinian security services which aim to promote holding the various training courses in the security and military fields for students.
