The Academic Team of the English Language Department which is affiliated with the College of Humanities at Al-Istiqlal University, in cooperation with Palestinian universities, participated in the TEFL-EPAL project which is funded by the European Union. The team included members of the University's faculty - Department of Languages: Dr. Nawal Al-Sheikh, and Dr. Khaled Masoud, Dr. Hussam Al-Qaddoumi, at the University of Chemnitz, Germany.
Furthermore, the training program included vocabulary exercises with discussing the European standards in designing the curricula of the English language. Also, the participants gave a final presentation that involved a study for each course as listed within the objectives of the project, besides designing an advanced book in the English Language.
It is noteworthy to mention that the course was held from 13th to17th of January -2020, and aimed to teach how to design a curricula, and develop the educational material by using the four language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), in addition to distributing certificates on the participants at the end of the training course.
