Al-Istiqlal University inaugurates the leadership course for students in cooperation with the British support Team

The Institute of Training and Development at Al-Istiqlal University, in cooperation with the British Support Team, inaugurated the leadership course (fourth week), for the second and third-year students, in the presence of Dr. Rajaa Sweidan, the Deputy for Administrative and Financial Affairs at Al-Istiqlal University, Maj. Gen. Mohammed Haroun, the Supervisor of the Leadership Training Program with the British Support Team, and Lt. Col. John, the supervisor of the British Support Team, at Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Theater, on  Sunday 23th of February 2020.

Dr. Sweidan welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of these courses during the study period for the students to develop and promote their skills before joining the different positions in the Palestinian security institution, explaining how to use the acquired information in managing situations in the work environment, thanking the British support team and the supervisors for their efforts in following up and implementing the program correctly.

For his part, Lt. Co. John, on behalf of the members of the British support team, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity of training and developing students' skills before they got involved in the work environment, wishing to develop cooperation in several areas with Al-Istiqlal University.

Furthermore, Maj. Gen. Haroun presented a summary of the upcoming phases of the leadership program, indicating the importance of the foundation leadership program for students in developing their self-capabilities and providing them with some advice to get benefits as required.

It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Istiqlal University is working on holding a leadership program to acquire students with life skills including (problem-solving, team-work, and communication skills) to become future leaders in the Palestinian Security Institution.
