In partnership with the Military Training Authority… Al-Istiqlal graduates the "Russian Language" course

The center of Poet Sergei Yesenin for the Russian Language at Al-Istiqlal University graduated the students who participated in the "Russian Language" course. The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osba, the President of the University, Col. Maxim Zielink, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense in Palestine, Brig. Gen. Bassam Al-Jerbi, the Director of the Military Training Authority, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Sobou, the deputy for Academic Affairs, Brig. Gen. Salman Abdallah, the deputy for Military Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Halasa, the Dean of Scientific Centers, Dr. Mohammed Najajra, the Director of the Center, and several deans of faculties.

Furthermore, Prof. Dr. Abu Osba expressed his pride in graduating the students and his happiness with the level that the students reached in the Russian language after the course. Also, he talked about the depth of the historical relationship with Russia, and the central partnership with the Palestinian Training Authority, wishing the students success in their scientific and practical lives, and to be the best ambassadors for the Palestinian cause abroad.

For his part, Col. Zielink congratulated the participants of the course, saying that it is a "preparatory step for training protectors of the homeland and the leaders of the future," stressing his country's support for the Palestinians' right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state, in addition to its continuous support for its institutions, especially the security field.

Moreover, Brig. Gen. Al-Jerbi indicated that this course constitutes an important base of the memorandum of understanding with the University, which enables the students to know the various sciences, to engage with the Russian people, and to prepare qualified personnel capable of joining universities and military colleges.

Dr. Najajra talked about the importance of the course, which included (90 training hours), in providing students with the necessary knowledge and information about the history of Russia and its leaders, its geography, the education system, customs and traditions, and the various aspects of life, in addition to acquiring basic skills in the language, and some terms used in the military march.

The speech of the graduates was presented by the student Mahdi Nofal, in the Russian language, thanking the tireless efforts made by the trainers to successfully and superiorly finish the course requirements, which contributes to adapting to the new study environment, representing their people and conveying their message in the best way.

In conclusion, the administration of the University gave Col. Zielink and Brig. Gen. Al-Jerbi shields of appreciation for their efforts in conducting this course, followed by the distribution of certificates of appreciation to 26 students. Also, the Public Relations Department took the guests on an introductory tour to see the University's buildings and facilities.
