Al-Istiqlal University discusses mechanisms of cooperation with the "Customs Police"

Prof. Dr. Saleh Abu Osba, the President of Al-Istiqlal University, received a delegation from the Palestinian Custom Police headed by Col. Wissam Al-Namla, the Director of planning and training department, to promote the mechanisms and aspects of the future cooperation.

The meeting included Brig. Gen. Salman Abdallah, the vice president for military affairs, Dr. Issam Nabhan, the dean of the intermediate college, Dr. Ghassan Omar, the director of the training and development institute, and Dr. Ahamed Toba, the Head of the Customs Sciences Department.

Prof. Dr. Abu Osba welcomed the attendees, stressing the importance of building bridges of cooperation with the various Palestinian security services to keep pace with the modern sciences and the work-field needs that will improve the educational outcomes and increase the level of the students.

For his part, Col. Al- Namla delivered the greeting of Maj. Gen. Eyad Barakat, the Director-General of the Customs Police Agency, expressed his happiness with the bilateral relationship with Al-Istiqlal University, besides discussing the ways of development by the joint diploma program "Customs Sciences" through the implementation of introductory lectures and field exercises as an extension of the Academic process.

And, they conducted a meeting to discuss many topics such as, setting specific plans and approaches, holding re-evaluation sessions for academic courses, and intensifying practical training for students to be prepared for future job tasks.
