Al-Istiqlal University inaugurates field lectures for the students of firefighting and rescue techniques

The Department of Military Sciences and Fire and Rescue Techniques at Al-Istiqlal University inaugurated the field lectures for the students of firefighting and rescue techniques, in partnership with the "Civil Defense", presented by Maj. Ali Halabiya.

The event included Brig. Gen. Salman Abdallah, the vice president for Military Affairs at the University, Mr. Issam Nabhan, the dean of the Intermediate College, Maj. Imad Al-Deen Younis, the head of the Military training, and Capt. Kamal Salah, the director of the Department.  

Brig. Gen. Abdallah welcomed the attendees, stressing the close relationship between the Al-Istiqlal University and the Palestinian Civil Defense within a joint diploma achieves the integration between the theoretical framework and practical training to prepare the students for joining the Palestinian security system.

For his part, Maj. Halabiya discussed several topics, starting with introducing firefighting equipment and how to use it correctly, and the appropriate techniques and type of fire, besides implementing a comprehensive scenario to evaluate the outcome of the acquired skills.

It is noteworthy to mention that Al-Istiqlal University seeks to improve the skills of its students in different fields to prepare them for joining the Palestinian Security Services and serving the Palestinian citizens.
