The Center for Community Service and Continuing Education inaugurates the “Cyber Security” and “Training of Trainers” courses

The Center for Community Service and Continuing Education at Al-Istiqlal University inaugurated the "Cybersecurity" and "Training of Trainers" courses.

The event included Dr. Waled Khaliliya, the deputy for Academic Affairs, Dr. Anwar Abu Hanoud, the dean of the College of Humanities, Brig. Gen. Issam Nabhan, the dean of the Intermediate College, Dr. Mamoun Abu Helou, the Dean of Information Technology, Dr. Mohammed Abdo, the Director of the Center, and Dr. Ghassan Omar, the Director of the Institute of Training and Development.

Dr. Khaliliya welcomed the attendees, stressing the national message of Al-Istiqlal University and its tangible role in strengthening the links and networking with the Palestinian local community through the implementation of various services, educational activities, and events, wishing the participants success and achievements.

Furthermore, The Training of Trainers course is presented by Dr. Riyad Shreim, and Captain Salam Zabalah, and the most prominent axes: how to build the training program and develop appropriate plans, the ability to identify needs, master the skill of formulating goals, the necessary tools, and means, and the methods used such as drama, story and video, the mechanism of using body language, and self-control.

Also, Dr. Wahib Abu Olba and Dr. Ibrahim Al-Shouli from the Department of Cyber Security will provide the following topics: Introduction to the computer, its inception, its components, Internet elements, types of attacks, network, and smartphone security.

It is noteworthy to mention that the two programs target the Jericho community and several University employees, with a duration of 30 hours distributed over 15 meetings.
