The Department of Customs Sciences at Al-Istiqlal University organized a field visit to the Directorate of National Economy in Jericho and the Jordan Valley, as part of the training program for the “Rules of Origin and Customs Tariff” course.
The visit aimed to introduce students to the nature of the work of the Palestinian Ministry of National Economy, its relationship to the customs control agency, and the intersecting tasks in many fields such as organizing and monitoring markets, import and export mechanisms, authentication of certificates of origin, cumulative origin, control and inspection of consumables, product specifications and standards, and the most important trade agreements signed by the State of Palestine at the international level, in a way that serves the citizens and consumer protection, according to the legislation and laws in force.
In conclusion, they open the gate of discussion, questions, and inquiries in a lively interaction among the participants.
