Prof. Dr. Nour Al-Din Abu Al-Rob, the President of Al-Istiqlal University, received Mr. Faysali Fralov, the representative of the Russian Agency for International Cooperation, Mr. Stati Slav, the representative of the North Caucasus Federal University, in the presence of Dr. Nayef Jarad, the deputy for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ali Ayayda, the Deputy for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Najajra, the director of the poet Sergei Yesenin Center for the Russian language, Dr. Nizam Salahat, the Dean of Scientific Services Centers, Dr. Mohammed Roshdi, the Director of the Computer Center, Dr. Iyad Masoud, the Director of Public and International Relations and Media Department, and Ms. Nour Al-Kiswani and Mr. Khamees Rbea, from the International Relations Department.
Prof. Dr. Al-Rob welcomed the guest delegation, expressing his happiness at meeting the Russian friends, stressing the depth of the historical relationship between Palestine and Russia, and the importance to expand cooperation and programs to enhance the benefit of the Russian academic and cultural experience.
For his part, Mr. Faysali Fralov, the representative of the Russian Agency, conveyed the congratulations of the Russian ambassador to Dr. Abu Al-Rob on his assumption of the presidency of the University, giving an overview of the distinguished relationship with Al-Istiqlal University, which extended from 2013 with the Russian Center for Science and Culture and the establishment of the poet Sergey Yesenin Center for science and culture in 2017. Also, he indicated that signing a joint agreement was discussed early next month, stressing the need to move forward in the areas of cooperation, as there are more than 100 scholarship students in Russia, besides a partnership with the Russian Center through a 6-month preparatory and educational program for the Russian language in addition to 6 months in Russian universities.
Furthermore, Mr. Stati Slav praised the efforts of Al-Istiqlal University in developing the programs in various aspects, mentioning the need to promote the relationship with Al-Istiqlal University and arrange the plans before the arrival of the President of the Caucasus University.
In conclusion, the Public Relations team took the guest delegation on a tour to see the infrastructure and facilities of Al-Istiqlal University.
