The Training and Development Institute at Al-Istiqlal University held a political lecture entitled "Loyalty and Belonging", which was presented by Maj. Gen. Talal Dweikat, the Political Commissioner-General, to the fourth-year students, in the presence of Dr. Nayef Jarad, the deputy for Academic Affairs, Dr. Reyad Shreim, the Dean of the Training and Continuing Education Institute, and the Institute staff.
Maj. Gen. Dweikat stressed the importance of belonging to the homeland and the Palestinian security establishment in light of the Israeli plans to thwart the Palestinian national project and constants, besides the attempts to create a gap between the Palestinians and their political system by the daily intrusions and incursions into the Palestinian governorates.
Also, he continued “Arming with loyalty and belonging is a prerequisite for achieving sustainable development, maintaining civil peace, and reaching the integration among the Palestinian security services to provide stability for the Palestinian people through the difficult conditions and modest capabilities."
For his part, Prof. Dr. Nour Al-Din Abu Al-Rob, the President of Al-Istiqlal University, received the guest delegation, in the presence of Dr. Nayef Jarad, Brig. Gen. Zaher Sabbah, the deputy for Military Affairs, Dr. Iyad Masoud, the director of Public and international relations and Media Department, and Dr. Reyad Shreim.
And, he welcomed the guest delegation, stressing the importance of the partnership with the Palestinian security services, working on building the personality of the student, raising public awareness and the cultural level, and consolidating faith in the Palestinian national project, to graduate qualified officers able to protect their homeland and citizens.
Furthermore, Maj. Gen. Dweikat expressed his happiness at the meeting, praising the role of Al-Istiqlal University in recruiting hundreds of young generations, looking forward to achieving more progress and prosperity for this great scientific edifice, and the readiness to promote and develop future cooperation and plans to graduate qualified and skilled students.
In conclusion, Dr. Jarad viewed the outcomes of the meeting with the planning and training directors of the Palestinian security establishment, especially the implementation of specialized courses and workshops and the creation of professional diplomas that meet the needs of the country.
